Empowering Writers

What excites me is to see students realize that they can articulate their ideas into a thoughtfully developed paragraph, essay, story, or poem. Such a moment is a mutual gift we are able to share.

As a writing instructor I design and deliver instruction for students through a variety of pedagogies and tools. My practice focuses on supporting the growth of students as writers, readers, public speakers, and thinkers. Though I have been in the field of education for several years, I have worked in a variety of communities and been fortunate enough to learn the most current best practices as well as the most up-to-date use of technology, availing access to learners and keeping it fun!

I work with students of all ages in large and small groups as well as one-on-one instruction. Besides having three California Clear teaching credentials, I attended the National Board Resource Center at Stanford University and achieved an NBCTE and subsequently earned a Masters in Education from San Francisco State University. I am devoted to continuing the work of teaching and supporting learners to develop their skills as well as supporting families throughout their journey.
